Who is Regence BlueCross BlueShield of Utah?
Whether you know this or not, Regence BCBS is the largest health insurance provider in the northwest and intermountain west. They provide coverage for over 2.5 million people. They are a non profit business and have been in business for over 90 years. You may also know them as Regence BlueCross BlueShield of Idaho, Regence BlueCross BlueShield of Oregon and Regence BlueShield (WA)
Because they are a member of the national BlueCross BlueShield network, you will be able to find the best and least expensive healthcare because you will always be able to find an in-network provider wherever you travel in the United States. The BCBS network of doctors and facilities is the largest network in the country.
As far as the plans that they have, they are broken down into three types, which we will discuss here:
The Regence HSA Plan- The HSA plan that they offer is not your typical HSA plan. The type they offer is a plan that after you meet your deductible, you still cover 20% of the expenses until you meet your deductible. Individual BlueChoices BlueAdvantage- This is their version of the traditional copay plan you may be used to having. It offers unlimited copays for doctor visits, wellness visits and has a $5 copay for generic prescriptions. One of the great things it also covers is chiropractic care. It also has Utah maternity insurance included, but it does have a $5,000 deductible, just so that you are aware.
Individual BlueChoices BlueBasic- This is also a copay plan, but one that has some limits to it. For more information on it and it's limitations, we would prefer to describe it to you in person, so please contact us for more information.
Dental Insurance- Regence does offer some of the best and most affordable dental insurance in Utah. They also have a large network of dentists here, and you could be confident that your dentist is in-network for them.
Short Term Insurance- InterM- This plan is for people who may be out of work temporarliy and need some coverage to bridge them gap before their new employment and the new employer coverage to start.
